TCB Member Benefits

  • Meeting and Incentive Planners Guide This is the TCB's main publication.  It is a comprehensive, full colour guide to the State's meeting and incentive facilities and services.  Each member receives a free line listing and has the option of a paid advertisement.
  • Member Services Directory This is a comprehensive up-to-date directory of members.  It is indexed by category and all members receive a listing with a description of their product or service.  The directory is distributed, within the Meeting & Incentive Planner's Guide, to prospective and confirmed convention organisers.
  • Convention Calendar (Gold and Silver only) A major marketing tool available to members is the Convention Calendar.  This is a confidential, member only, listing of forthcoming conferences and conventions.  The information affords members the opportunity to contact meeting planners directly to promote their business.
  • Monthly Update of Conferences This is a listing of events, conferences and meetings sent out four weeks prior to each month beginning.  Contact details of the conference planner is also provided.
  • Co-operative Promotions Members have the opportunity to participate in co-operative advertising campaigns, familiarisation programs, exhibitions and tradeshows.  A detailed program and costs are available.
  • Convention News A monthly newsletter, which reports on Bureau and industry news, co-operative marketing opportunities and up coming conventions - distributed via email unless otherwise instructed.
  • Membership Functions Business After Hours functions are held during the year in either Launceston or Hobart.  All members are encouraged to attend and are able to host a function. They provide a great networking opportunity with other members and industry guests. 
  • Marketing Skills Workshops The TCB is committed to educating members on how to generate business opportunities and maximise their membership benefits. A series of education seminars covering topics from Utilising your Membership Benefits through to Successful Submission Preparation and How to Conduct Familiarisations and Site Inspections are conducted throughout the year in both Launceston and Hobart.
  • Member Referral The TCB provides details and brochures to convention and event organisers in response to their enquiries.  All members are encouraged to take advantage of this service by supplying brochures and keeping all Bureau staff fully aware of our services or facilities.
  • Interstate Representation The TCB has representatives in Sydney and Melbourne.  Their role is to attract and secure national conferences from association and corporation head offices.
  • Use of TCB Logo Members are invited to visibly support the Bureau by using the TCB's logo on promotional material and letterhead.
  • Voting Rights The TCB is governed by a seven member Board, four of whom are elected by the membership, two are appointed by the Board and one is an appointee of Tourism Tasmania.  All members are eligible to vote and stand as a Board member.
