Barilla Bay Tasmania was established in 1980 by the Forrest family. Initially operating as an oyster producer and exporter the business has expanded to incorporate both hospitality and tourism industries.

The 110 seat restaurant is the scene of many different types of events. Capturing the essence of Tasmania our restaurant creates unique dishes using fresh, local produce.  The dining room over looks the working farm, oyster beds and Mt Wellington.

 

 Barilla Bay Tasmania is a producer of world class oysters, farm gate sales are available from our gourmet foodstore along with a large selection of Tasmanian wines, produce and souvenirs.

Barilla Bay Tasmania allows you to have a totally Tasmanian experience. The retail store is open seven days a week, the restaurant opening hours change seasonally, please call us for a booking

An uncomplicated and approachable style of food allows the chef to create menus that can be effortlessly matched with Tasmanian wines, beers and liqueurs. A wine list that encompasses a large selection of only Tasmanian wines showcases a range of larger producers as well as smaller regional vineyards.

Located above the main dining room is a smaller, private dining room perfect for celebrating special occasions, cocktail parties and board room meetings. The intimacy and views of Barilla Bay from this room (The Pearl Room) allow for a very unique dining experience.
