Business Events Expo

27-Aug-2010 | Business Events Expo, held in both Hobart and Launceston this month, was a hit with both exhibitors and delegates.

There was a great turn out of members exhibiting - 39 in Hobart and 26 in Launceston, with five members exhibiting at both events. The creativity displayed by some organisations with their exhibits was very well received by delegates - The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel’s sheep throwing contest being the standout! For an inaugural event delegate numbers were good and will increase in future years as the event gains recognition with the community.

Approximately 80 delegates attended the Hobart event at Wrest Point and 50 delegates attended in Launceston at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, looking for information on planning an event. Here is what a couple of the delegates had to say:

"Just wanted to thank you for the expo yesterday, it was EXCELLENT.  It far exceeded our expectations and we were and are very impressed." - Stephanie Clark and Wayne White

"Had a great time on Tuesday, a lot a very helpful people, we have found an organisation to take on the task of organising our conference in 2012, so thank you very much for the great invite." - Michelle Kemp

Media coverage in the lead up to the event was excellent. The Examiner Newspaper and 7HO FM both sponsored the event with significant coverage.
