Getting to Tasmania has never been easier - the only problem your delegates will face is deciding how to get there!

By air

Three carriers operate regular daily jet services between mainland Australia and Tasmania daily, and a wide selection of flight times are available for delegates throughout the day.

Frequent scheduled flights of approximately one hour's duration cross Bass Strait daily from Melbourne to Tasmania's major centres of Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Devonport.  Daily direct flights also operate from Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney to Hobart and Launceston, with convenient connections from all other Australian states and international carriers.

A range of attractive promotional fares are offered by all airlines year round.  Most airlines also offer special discounts for conference groups - we recommend you contact the airlines direct to discuss delegate rates. Recently introduced, and likely to be adopted more widely in 2005, are "common rated" fares for international travelers.  This will provide free add on travel to Tasmania from the point of entry, Sydney or Melbourne.

By sea

Another appealing option for delegates and conference organisers is the opportunity to experience the fun, excitement and romance of sea travel. Delegates can travel from Melbourne to Tasmania with their cars on Spirit of Tasmania.  Onboard a range of accommodation options are available and entertainment options abound including restaurants, bars, lounges, a children's playroom and a visitor information office.

The Melbourne service departs nightly at 9pm and arrives at 7am the following morning.
